Yes, but still... you'd think with as many OCD people we have in this country, we would have moved to the plastic bills by now.

Actually I'm a big fan of completely reforming the currency by having each bill have a different color as well as size.

Romania first issued a polymer note in 1999 and by late 2001 became the third country after Australia and New Zealand to fully convert to polymer.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on semantics. IMHO, Romania doesn't equal "Europe" and 10 years is not a "looong time". Now if he had said Romania has had them since 1999, then I would not have been in disagreement.
