Nice... I'm jealous. I'm sure your neighbors here to the south won't be adopting such currency for at least 200 years.

Yeah, but it's still the same design, just a different color. Well, just slightly different.

Example:

I love the look of American money - it looks so old-worldy and historic.

Yes, but still... you'd think with as many OCD people we have in this country, we would have moved to the plastic bills by now.

Actually I'm a big fan of completely reforming the currency by having each bill have a different color as well as size.

To: sunshineleith. The statement about Europe had them for a long time it was correct.

Romania first issued a polymer note in 1999 and by late 2001 became the third country after Australia and New Zealand to fully convert to polymer.

Check here how many countries actualy have the polymer notes: http://www.polymernotes.com/index.html .

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on semantics. IMHO, Romania doesn't equal "Europe" and 10 years is not a "looong time". Now if he had said Romania has had them since 1999, then I would not have been in disagreement.

You answered back quoting Bulgaria as an example for Europe that's why I mentioned Romania.
