I have read up on some history. I know that there were blacks in Alaska starting from the gold rush days(well earlier even). What I am surious about is if there are any blacks in the adjacent areas such as Yukon, and NWT.
The gold rush was also in B.C and the Yukon. I'm sure there were blacks that went there if they were in Alaska. And I'm sure there are still some today.

What is a troll? I was just asking a question because I was curious. I have no idea what a troll is(as far as this forum goes).
A troll is a post made for the purpose of deliberately causing a disturbance.
While Canada does not have the same proportion of blacks as the US, people of African descent compose a signifigant portion of the population and are present, in varying degrees, in all areas of the country.

I'm not here for a disturbance, I just had a question.
According to the 2001 census, the black population in the Yukon was 120, for the Northwest Territories it was 175 and for Nunavut it was 65. Data pertaining to race and ethnicity from the 2006 census has yet to be released.
