Not household names. I'd never heard of George Grant and I'm only vaguely familiar with Maude Barlow for her left wing activism with the Council of Canadians. Most people wouldn't know who she is. Their thoughts, however, probably have influenced the conversation of the greater culture by influencing the people who move in those circles.
