Exactly.

And as an aside, we do have something comparable to New Orleans... Quebec City. It's like New Orleans, except you won't get shot. Are Americans proud of a city that has a murder rate comparable to Guatemala?

Yes, America has great vacation spots, as long as you just want natural beauty. Good luck finding real culture outside of a few major cities! This opinion comes from a 100% American born person.

Canadians don't diss the United States for its lack of great beaches. Beaches only take you so far in life. You also need jobs, healthcare, education, and housing. Sadly the U.S. is choosing to incarcerate rather than educate its lower classes.

That's true. And Canada has this along with amazing sights and destinations like the Rockies, Niagara Falls and Quebec.

You have beautiful mountains, but so do we. You don't have what we have.

I don't think we really understand you as much as you think we do. We don't get the whole ass kiss... of Queen Elizabeth. Why is your head of state the Queen of England? Are you still a colonly? Time to cut the apron strings and join the 21st century. Did the Queen Mother lament something like "Poor Canada, so far from God, yet so close to America." Yet her and King George sent letters to FDR pleading for help during WWII. Or does your love of English royalty have something to do with differntiating yourselves from Americans. Somehow I think the latter. I can't imagine such a progressive egalitarian society such as yours bowing and bending over to hereditary monarchy. Quite strange really to the aveage American how you all suck up to the Crown. You are very, very lucky in Canada that you have us on your border as opposed to a more hostile neighbor with our strength. You would have been taken over long ago.

Can anyone point me to a beach like this in Canada?

Here is a gorgeous beach in NC. You won't find anything remotely like this in Canada.

Anything tropical in Canada? I thought not. This place is crawling with Canadians in winter. You won't hear an anti-American peep out of them while they are here.

How bout a hauntingly beautiful sub-tropical swamp? Not on your life in ice bound Canada. They crawl all over these places in the USA, and never utter a nasty word about the US like they do when you encounter them in Toronto.

Canadians are anti-American to the core. They will never miss a beat when it comes to insulting an American.
Canada has many great sights as well along with a well run country with a good healthcare and education system. Canada isn't still a colony that isn't true we just have connections with England and we are still loyal to the Queen. The only thing you said which was true is that Canada is colder than the U.S. But that doesn't mean it's better and it does not matter as much because a lot of people prefer the cold as well.

Much easier to fund healthcare and education when your country has VAST natural resources, relatively few people and don't have to put much toward national defense thanks to your mighty nieghobor the USA.

Bull-Crap! Have spent much time in Canada talking with people who live there? I have and while they may not care for American political point of view, they are very friendly, welcoming and complimentary when you take time to talk to them.
And you make it seem like Canada has no natural beauty. Again Bull-Crap! So either become better informed about the topic you post about or stop the troll drivel.

Oh brother here we go again with that crap! No thanks are owed you for making the enemies we in the western hemisphere need worry about. You make the enemies then tell us we're not pulling our weight by developing an armed forces that will defend against YOUR enemies. What nonsense you've been fed for generations.

In all world wars we were there first and foremeost while you folks dithered with "it's not our war". In any LEGITIMATE conflict we have punched consistantly above our weight.

We are not into global expansionism to the extent our foreign policy is only promulgated on having a huge military "thug" to stand behind our diplomats. Strangely enough other countries seem to appreciate and respect that.

So once again; no other country has ever threatened to invade us, no other country has declared themselves our avowed enemy, no other country castigates us for not spending money we don't have on ships and tanks instead of healthcare or education.

Lastly; the only conversations we hear from time to time about Canada being "taken" or invaded is from you folks south of the 49th. If Canada ever needs a military stronger than the one we have now it will in all likelyhood be to defend ourselves from the bellicose neighbour to our south.

No hurricane has ever hit Quebec City either! And most people there speak French, or at least something close to it!
