For those who questioned the allegations here about inflammatory language related to Quebec politics, here is an article from what we might call a fairly eminent Canadian historian:
How a separate Quebec would transform our defence policy | Full Comment | National Post

"... if Ms. Marois governs well, she has a good chance of securing her majority in the next election, likely next year. Her rancorous election speeches — which doubtless read better in the original German,..."

Correct. As I said in another thread. It happens multiple times late night every night of the week in any city in the world. Only the names of the groups involved change.

AJ did you actually read that article as it paints a dour picture of a separate Quebec, As for a separate Quebec wanting to be part of NATO and NORAD, i doubt a separate Quebec will be in a financial situation where they could afford any viable military force, All they'll have is what the Federal government cant fly, drive or sail out of the province days before the referendum which would be a few empty military installations..

Another good reason against independence. I agree. Why did you think I would not agree on this point? I will agree with points that make sense - but not crap about a Frozen Haiti, etc.

I haven't heard Pauline Marois say anything about making changes to the signage provisions of Bill 101.

That sign conforms with current Bill101 standards as the French Font is twice as big and on top of the English info.
What the new Bill101 will allow is anyone's guess at this point but you can bet at its core will be more draconian restrictions on the English language. When the re-written bill101 comes out i'll post the highlights..
If any one is unfamiliar with current Bill101 status here it is..

Along with another nasty piece of legislation called The Not Withstanding clause

To be fair in Ontario, we would probably do the same thing with English on top or at the very least bigger. In fact I would say in many cases no French at all in signage
