Canada scores low in corporate accountability. (Although a couple of countries, like Brazil, Greece and Spain are even worse. )
An organization called OpenCorporates ranked 55 countries on corporate accountability, namely a "minimal set of data about a company that is needed for free, open, fair, and stable markets to exist, and for society to understand, influence, and, where necessary, regulate the behavior of companies"
Things like: names of directors and officers, organization of parent companies and subsidiaries, significant shareholdings, statutory filings or other information that one should know to prevent shady goings on like "corruption, money laundering, organized crime and tax evasion".
No country scored very well, but Canada was very low.
