What began as a fun family outing on Saturday morning in Manitoba, Canada, soon became a father daughter team's worse nightmare. The pair found themselves staring death in the face as their family truck fell through the ice on Lake Winnipeg, nearly throwing the two to their death.
That's a fairly regular occurance. I usually hear of a couple every year. I'm not sure what the driver was thinking, as it's still quite early to have a vehicle on the ice. Generally, 15"is considered.safe to drive on, though I wouldn't push it. Usually I wait for close to 2 feet. And, if there's any doubt, you've got an auger anyway, so drill and check.
