Spring has not sprung here in Montreal. The grass is yellow and we are expecting a dump of snow 10-20 cent. Plus perhaps even more than that North of Montreal. It's not expected to stick though. The weather has been very versatile these past two weeks. I have seen it snow in May over here. We never have that much of a Spring. It can rain for weeks with many cloudy days around this time of year. We have had a fair share of sun though and the Winter was, to me, not that bad. Though Winter can seem endless.

Spring has been late to come this year, although the grass is now very green, and some daffodils are starting to bloom. Last year we had leaves on the trees already, this year, still buds.

Horrible, horrible spring in Saskatchewan. You guys in Montreal, Toronto and BC have nothing on us in terms of how horrid it is. Let me describe it for you. A meter of snow on the ground (3+ feet). Two nights ago, it dipped to -21 C. Daytime highs are still well below zero and it snowed today. The ground is frozen solid two meters deep. I doubt it will thaw until mid-May.

er Climate Change...and it's all Harper's fault! and yours for owning a car. The UN will save us by taxing us to death and promoting liberalism and socialism around the world!

You can bet if it was 15 degrees above normal the Church of Global Warming would be having a freakout in the streets.

Thank you for bringing the level of conversation up!

Back on topic, you need to have lived elsewhere to realize how much spring in Ontario and Quebec sucks.

Actually no. The church of global warming as you call it is still freaking out, since OVERALL the planet is warming. The polar ice-caps are still melting even though it's a bit cold in Ontario and Quebec right now.

Just got back down south.

Southeast Alberta appears to have lots of snow left, though the sky is showing Chinook right now (and the weather appears to bear that out - winds gusting to 70 tomorrow), so that should be gone in short order.

Up north of the Peace Country, it's still winter, more or less. There's tons of snow up there, too. The locals are expecting that deep in the bush, it'll linger right through 'til next winter.

Expect seeding will commence out here in the not too distant future, though I'm just sitting on native pasture and hay land now, so not much to do except sit and hope it grows.

poppycock..The Antarctic is growing and it's below normal temps in every province in Canada. Heavy snowfall warning for most of Alberta, Saskatchewan is still covered in snow.

There hasn't been any Global Warming since 1997..get your head out of your backside. er Al Gore's backside.
