Stuff like "socialist nanny state" bandied about in the halls of congress no less. Stuff like America has defended Canada when the opposite is true with actual examples of proof.

Tell me they're all just pitching for practice when there is no one in the batter's box.
Anecdotes about politicians isn't the same as pervasive cultural prejudice coming out of the national broadcaster.

That's about as accurate an assumption as "most people vomit in their mouths when they hear American's hypothesizing they're number one".

In both instances only some give a rip and others have an agenda.

Why is it do you think Churchill would express such a view given the fact he had more than ample opportunity to evaluate the performance of any number of the militaries of the world in his very long career involving warfare on a huge scale. I'd like to hear.
The people who were caught bringing it up and having a **** were obviously aware of it, though.

I can't answer question B. Perhaps it was flattery. Perhaps is was for purposes of inclusiveness. Perhaps Canadians are hybrid vigour fuelled battlefield hellcats. I don't know. I've read a lot about history and there's a bit more to people than describing their traits like we were a bunch of dog breeders.

I couldn't agree more! Anecdotes of RECORD stated for the world's public consumption to the much larger American MSM are on a level 10 times greater than the CBC musings.

On this one we might have a scintilla of agreement.

This appears to be comparing apples and oranges to me. The CBC's output is constant and I think that people unthinkingly accept it as conventional wisdom. Some crackpot rep from Alabama doesn't have any reach.

At the time we were for better trained and equipped then india and china. I will agree with some of your points though and should have said fourth best. There is a reason why we were involved in d-day and other large scale actions. I am british born but I lived in Canada my whole live both of my grandfathers fought for the brits during ww11 and they both told me about who well Canadian fought and that they were among the best the allies had to offer.

It was said by the enemy that the Canadians were small fish and would be pushed back into the sea. That tune quickly changed. Then the Called the Canadians the StormTroopers of the british empire.

It was said by many that average Canadian soldier of ww11 was a vicious street fighter with overly aggressive driving habits thank god for that. I don't thank god it was part of the quote.

I think Canada's roll in ww11 is grossly under rated.

John McCain and hillary Clinton had plenty of reach. Neither one is from Alabama

as to our internal security both at ft polk and at DC white house a girl took down the bad guy both times.
