Have you noticed any subtle differences between the sense of humour in different areas of Canada?

Yes. Newfoundlanders have a unique and wonderful sense of humour. It's a more intense version of the wacky, ironic, bizarre, dry sense of humour that exists in the rest of english speaking Canada.

Prairie folk also seem to have a drier sense of humor, with a slightly more cynical view of the world.

Might be something to do with the winters.

It's beyond wacky and bizarre, and I love it. From This Hour, to Kids in the Hall, to May Contain Nuts, it's hysterically funny.

Nova Scotians have their own sense of humor too.

I definitely should have mentioned the Trailer Park Boys in that post. I love Canadian humour. I also love British humour. It's dry but really clever....with a lot of cross-dressing!

Love the Boys! I ran a bar in London ON and on Trailer Park night, everybody knew not to bother me for anything while it was on but they were all there to watch it too so..

When I moved to Halifax I freaked out when I saw my first Halifax police car. "It's just like on Trailer Park Boys!!" LOL You'd always see various cast members out drinking in the local clubs and Bubbles actually opened his own place but it had closed down by the time I visited in 2010.

...and don't forget Codco...the Queen Elizabeth. Prince Phillip martini sketch is one of the funniest things I ever saw.

Lived in Vancouver for 26 years and I don't recall anything near humour!
