This is a private institution, setting their own fees. They don't provide prices openly on their website, as all the accredited colleges do.
Did they tell you the welding study fee, and how much would the English training be? (multiplied by 3 people).
Also, welding program duration is listed as 36 months = 3 years. This is unusual, welding runs from 1 year in Quebec to 2 years in other provinces.
Private institutions are after money.
BUT, if you think it's your ticket to Canada, by all means.
Let's say, they charge 10 thousand tuition per person a year.
3 people = 30K for tuition. Plus living expenses 3K minimum x 10 months = 30K => 60K in 1 academic year! Plus tickets to get here. This is before starting to study welding/cooking. You could apply for jobs, though, as students.
The 36 week Welder Diploma program is a provincially-accredited apprenticeship curriculum that was developed by government and approved by the Provincial Apprenticeship and Certification Board. The program provides students with a wide range of skills that are needed to work as a first-year apprentice, including those related to safety, blueprint reading, plasma arc cutting/gouging, iron worker operations, fuel brazing, shielded metal arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, flux-cored arc welding and fabrication as well as many others. Most courses are designed in such a way that students spend time divided equally between the classroom and Welding shop. Upon successful completion of academic courses students will also take part in a 2 week work-term before graduating.
Regarding certificates, make an apprenticeship and take the Red Seal exam as that certificate seems to be a real door opener
The Red Seal exam, though, can be taken after 3 years of apprenticeship (2-4 years in different provinces).
That is, 1-2 years of college + 3 years of apprenticeship = 4-5 years.
