The guy Trebeck introduced was a real blast from the past Quebecs own Pierre Lalonde. who is probably still more well known in Quebec than Alex Trebeck

FWIW, Alex Trebek's surname is not French. Although there may be such a surname as "Trebeque".

Trebek is a central European name I am pretty sure.
