Yeah, it's a real thing that's been happening mostly in parts of the eastern states. But it's not only black youth that have been doing it, there's been some documented incidents of white kids doing it too and not only for racial differences but also because of religious and xenophobic differences, examples being such as attacks on immigrant Russian Jews. There have been several knock-out incidents during the past couple of years but to the best of my knowledge it's not happening with as much frequency now as it was when the trend first started.

And I agree with you that nobody here would put up with that nonsense, but I just can't imagine anyone here even thinking of doing it anyway, let alone have a reason for doing it.

This thread smells trollish. That said, there is strong belief among the US media that the "epidemic" of the knockout game is a myth - a myth perpetrated largely by the conservative media feeding into suburban and rural fears held towards urban (read: diverse) areas: Why the "Knockout Game" trend is a myth.. More evidence: Fox News was hot on this in 2013 but it largely disappeared in the summer of 2014. They apparently had other fears to sell in this mid-term election year (such as hordes of brown children crossing the border). Unless Canadians are in the habit of importing myths (say unicorns?), I'd suggest you ignore the OP's bait and let this thread slide down and off of this page.
