Then ....Tim Horton’s....I had a cup today at the local mall ...tasted good and super hot too,
almost burned my fingers...should have double cupped it.
Coffee plants don't grow well outdoors in Canada (yet) since most coffees are tropical varieties, but there are a few farms in Canada that have developed cold resistant strains of Arabica coffee plants and trees that are coming along well. One outdoor home grown producer is in Quebec (Green Barn Farm - they grow and sell the trees) and two others are in BC, (that I know of, although there may be more now) plus there are several other Canadian producers that are growing coffee plants inside big commercial glass greenhouses now. Kicking Horse coffee roaster company (in the Rocky Mountains) gets some of its coffee beans from local coffee growers.
It will be good when Canada is able to produce more of its own home grown coffee since Canadians drink more coffee than people in any other country in the world.
Nat, (if you haven't already been there) next time you visit Harrison Hot Springs, check out the Back Porch Coffee Roastery and Pottery Shop on Golf Road.

Thanks, I'll check it out, most likely this summer. Love fresh garlic. I like the BC grown Italian garlic and the BC grown Yugoslavian garlic. Nice big cloves and an even flavour.
