While Canada probably wont cut off all ties with Quebec when it comes to business if Quebec separates, Quebec certainly wont be retaining all the benefits it now receives as a Province of Canada,
Things that Quebec will have to take on by itself.
the post office
Unemployment benefits
Healthcare
Canada pensions,
All military and related infrastructure
All border and customs infrastructure
All current federal programs and related financing.
Transfer Payments
And of course almost all current federal jobs.

Great news for us both. English Canadians should be ecstatic that Quebec will no longer be on the "dole" and we in Quebec will be able to forge our own future without the will of Alberta or Ontario blocking us.

Must irritate/frustrate those francophone separatists like No Manners that can clearly see the dream of Quebec being its own country standing on the world stage as a francophone country in its own right, and then having to deal with all these fellow francophones who seem quite content to remain just a Canadian minority in a Canadian province.

Nice attempt but it doesn't irritate me. As long as Bill 101 is in effect I am happy like a kid in a candy shop. Most of my countrymen who prefer to stay a province are Quebecois first and Canadian second and support Bill 101 and Quebec. I am happy with that. What is true is that Quebec and Canada continue to fall apart from each other, but as a pragmatist I support the most expedient option to move along into the future.

Don't take the bait. Jambo 101 is especially frustrated by people who are proudly Quebecois but not for independence (like me). Yes, that means he has a problem with about half of the province.

I got no problem,i'm a staunch Canadian i have no issues where my patriotism lies, unlike francophones who seem to be torn in two directions, those that want the freedom to be Quebecois in their own country of Quebec and those who dont identify with being Canadian but just cant bring themselves to cut the umbilical cord with Canada and are content to remain forever a cultural also ran in a province of Canada.
You want your own francophone country? the option is there for the taking.
