I moved from Burlington Ontario to Vancouver Island in 1967, and I have no regrets at all....I love the life I have lived here...I've lived in Victoria since 1991 and love it here surrounded by mountains and best of all the ocean.

That's great to hear!! There's quite a few of job postings in my field there that I have seen.
I may just visit different places through BC and see where my heart takes me

That really depends on what you like to do. I live in the valley, and having lived in a all over BC, I would say that it's okay, though the winters are the cloudiest in Canada, and sucks. Personally, I'd take the colder sunshine of central BC over the grey Okanagan winters any day. The summers are a bit too hot for my liking, but you do get warm springs and falls similar to Toronto, so pretty good as well.
