O'Leary's comment about Trump I quoted was last January.
As far as O'Leary's character is concerned, this is his own assessment of himself last month:
Quote:
"America elected a billionaire reality TV star with no previous political experience, and a public persona that could honestly be described as 'turd-esque,'" O'Leary explained. "Think about it. Could that sound any more like me? I don't think so. Not trying to brag here, but I'm basically the king of the turds."
As for what policy ideas O'Leary might bring to the table as leader of the Conservatives, O'Leary seemed indifferent.
"What does it really matter?" he offered. "Trump just said whatever he wanted, whether it had any bearing on reality or not. I'm positive that I can do that. I just have to start tweeting more, basically."
O'Leary said he's also going to consider coming up with a catchphrase.
"We all know that Trump's got 'Make America Great Again,'" he said. "But I bet I could come up with something catchy as well. Maybe 'Canada Can Be ****ty Too!'"
I guess you never watched Kevin on Dragon's Den and on the American version, Shark Tank. He is sarcastically called "Mr. Wonderful", a name he has enthusiastically embraced. Actually he is a shrewd businessman, always with his eye to the bottom line.

I think I have only seen one episode of Shark Tank but when I did watch Dragon's Den some of the other businessmen drastically disagree with O'Leary's views on so many things and they too are very successful business people. I really liked Arlene. She looked at investments as not only making her money but in also aiding people with good ideas for making a go at it without the intension of making huge piles of money but in making the life of others so much better. I am thinking of the one with the dinner for homeless I think in East Vancouver. The whole concept that a country can or should be run as a business with the measure of how much income it can generate or how little spending on its citizens I find very distasteful and very short sighted in the long term. I am sure, for example, that the government could make more money selling Banff National Park outright to the highest bidder than to run it as a park with both conservation and recreation in its mandate.
A vaccine for Ebola which has completed successful trials in Guinea and Sierra Leone means the virus should never again be able to wreak the havoc it did during the recent epidemic in west Africa, say scientists
The vaccine was created in Winnipeg at the National Biological Laboratory.
"The Trudeau effect" has been a boon for Canadian tourism, trust in business and our country's image in general, and apparently Canadian brands are benefiting too.
A survey from Statista, an online statistics database, conducted between December and January found that products made in Canada saw the biggest boost in global perception of a long list of countries over the previous 12 months, a net 45 per cent.
