Hi, we are currently living in UK. Looking to move for a better life in Canada. My job is a HVAC engineer, I hold tickets in gas heating, oil heating, air conditioning and electrics. My main job function is service and repair on large commercial buildings mainly heating. My question is, is there a need for this type of work in Canada. If so, what area would be best for my type of work. Do you know the best place to find employment. Also wife's questions - she would like kids to get similar education as UK, can you help. Also she doesn't mind snow but as we live in south of UK we hardly ever get snow, doesn't like rain much which part of Canada would be good for her.

For the type of work you're currently involved with, I'd think that urbans areas with a greater concentration of office and industrial buildings would offer more job opportunities.

I think your first stop should be Citizenship and Immigration Canada's web site so you can examine the various immigration categories open to you: Welcome Page | Page d'accueil

The Vancouver area of the west coast of British Columbia offers a climate similar to England with mild winter temperatures, infrequent snow, and plenty of rain.

If you feel adventurous, you might consider the Calgary area of Alberta. The economy is booming, and the weather, while cold in winter, offers an abundence of sunshine.

Go West young man to Alberta. That's where all the jobs are.
