American posters are already discussing scenarios for various states joining Canada, although the thread has now devolved to bickering about the value of California.
Hey I could settle for just one side of the coast. ... the map would only look like some one waving or giving a hand shake ... but the message is still there
Trump is going to appoint a very well-known climate change denier to the EPA
Does that sound like he won't affect the rest of the world?
Nothing America does is ignored by the rest of the world...like it or not...
you just know, don't you. why not come back in two years and see how wrong you were?
Canada is such a civilised and open-minded place compared to the United States – and I'd say the same even if Trump didn't run.
That doesn't mean Canada is perfect, but Canadians should be very proud of their society on the whole. It is truly one of the most noble and respected in the world.
let's face it. It is not about Trump being bad or good. It is about the country we know as the US is in fact two countries. The "united" part is only political. The fact it is pretending to be one nation is funny.

I find it interesting that this forum is dominated by big government Canadians. In the real world, I interact with a lot Canadians who are very much at odds with what I read here. They loathe the existence of Trudeau, those who support him and his leftist policies while waxing poetic over Harper. Political division is not uniquely American.
And while this thread is a fun concept, the reality is that a greater percentage of Canadians have immigrated to the US than vice versa. That is more telling than some disaffected Americans who can't stand the idea of not being able to impose their political will on other Americans and have never learned that things don't always go their way. Please take them Canada, please!
It would be way more accurate to say that there are two visions of the United States that are at odds with each other, duking it out: the one that you like and the one that you dislike.
Sometimes one carries the day, sometimes it's the other.
I'd agree with this. It's shameful the hateful one won out. His margins in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania were very thin though. If he doesn't deliver (which I don't think he will) it shouldn't be hard at all to bring those states back.

There's that point too. If he does turn out to be a mess, it shouldn't be hard to vote him out. Let's not act like he swept in with a landslide or anything.
Let's also not act like the far right hasn't seen a surge in the UK and other parts of Europe in recent years as well. One of the candidates up for leadership in the conservative party has stated she wants to bring Trump's message to Canada. So some shouldn't act so smug and think those people aren't in their country as well.

It's called control. It doesn't work. Our most blighted big cities in the US are all controlled by liberals who want to do all the thinking for the 'ignorant' fools who live there. Sanctuaries for illegals, murders, litter, corruption, drugs, all the good stuff. Chicago, LA, New Orleans, Miami, Detroit, all run by liberals.
LOL why don't you guys ever mention very liberal cities like Boston, Minneapolis, Seattle, New York, Portland and San Fran when bashing liberals? Oh wait, they don't fit your desired narrative...

Let's see: New York had a Republican mayor for almost 20 years before the current idiot got in. Crime is up under him and before those two mayors, it was a cesspool. Seattle, Portland and San Fran are filled with sniveling snowflakes. They don't have the capacity to be violent.

Yep, no racism there.
Bloomberg switched to independent as he was disgusted with Republicans and Democrats still had their huge say in all of the boroughs besides Staten Island. Crime is not up in NYC as well, don't lie.....
