I have gone down into Mexico but the border is a PIA and also I like to see my home country more.
There are fewer practical challenges for Canadians in the US compared to Americans in Mexico.

At a minimum, Manitobans seem to have all done the trip to the west coast by car. At least I can't think of anyone who hasn't. A lot of people I know take regular trips to Banff for skiing.

Do they go east to Toronto, Montreal, or Quebec City by car?

The only way to make good use of the North is by merging with Alaska and joining the US.

I think that is quite rare. Usually people would fly.

From Toronto, many go by Train to Montreal. I know as a tourist if I'm in Toronto I take the train instead of renting a car.

I'd say that most people in Quebec and Ontario have been to each other's provinces.

A lot of people in Ontario and Quebec have been to the Maritimes. Though a lot fewer have been to Newfoundland.

What about the other way? Seems many from the Maritimes have traveled extensively through the other provinces, 'eh'?

Just started watching this series on CBC about people's lives in the north. I am really glad that they are making series like this to educate people about the north and ways to make it better for all the residents.

Yes, there would be more who've been the other way. Due to high levels of economic migration to parts of Canada west of the Maritimes. And follow-up travel like Maritimers visiting family and relatives now living in provinces to the west.
