If you are American and Black or if you are American and Liberal.... you need to say in your country and push back as hard as possible against this nonsense. You also need to ensure that your experiences are captured and shared with the rest of the world. Some really sad and scary stuff going on there. Best wishes.
Why on earth should she stay, if she no longer wants to reside in the U.S.?
I'm in the process of transferring my business to a completely online platform. Once I do this, I will relocate from the U.S. for good. I have absolutely no interest in getting involved with racial politics. I am so much more than skin color and like any other person, deserve to live in peace.
My future home destination is Accra, Ghana. I spent a few months there and fell in love w/ the people and overall environment. I am setting everything up and can't wait to leave America!
Thank you for your understanding, LovelySummer2020. Many who replied to my post didn't want to understand my fear and frustration at all. I forgot what website I was posting that question to, LOL. Anyway, I'm feeling much better than I was feeling. I'm staying put for now, as I've been accepted to graduate school for computer science at a top university where I live. So, I'll see how things play out and then evaluate. Congratulations on your choice of Accra, Ghana. I, also, am giving a hard look at West Africa for when I finish graduate school. Africa is growing and that growth is making the continent boom, economically, and I'm sure there is going to be a need in many countries for computer scientists for any number of purposes.

^^^^^This. Do not believe the media hype. You are a safe, in the U.S., probably safer than anywhere. There are not going to be any lynch mobs, or anything out of the ordinary, and Trump is not the boogeyman you think he is. You have much more chance of being hurt or killed by other Blacks than any white supremacist, or demonstrator.
And whites have the same chances of being killed by a European
My Afro-American friend has a nephew who a few years ago played in the Canadian version of NFL, the CFL.
He is back in the US, and she said he could not adjust to the very different culture as an African-American in Canada, even though he was in Toronto, where there is their own Black culture.
Besides the weather, as he was from a Sunbelt state, he missed the Soul food, atmosphere& ways of the people he was used to, friends, etc etc; it was too different of a culture and he wanted to return to the US which of course he did.
I am pretty sure those African-Americans playing professional sports up in Canada, if the option came up for them to play closer to home, would move back.
Are you people of color, particularly black, in the USA? How much do you know about what's going on that isn't shown or talked about in the mainstream media? We have our sources, too, you know. There's a lot more going on than what's being covered in the mainstream media. I have plenty of reason to start worrying and to start preparations to leave for when things hit the fan.
I didn't say anything about lynch MOBS. A lynching doesn't require a mob. And, the fact that you don't think Trump is as evil as he really is, is problematic for me; therefore, I'm not inclined to listen to you.
I'm part black AND commonly assumed to be Latino or Arab, and I can't relate to the level of your panic. You'll very likely be just fine where you are now.
That said, if you have US citizenship, you may not realize that you already have options. If you don't feel safe in the continental US, what about Guam, American Samoa, Hawaii, or the US Virgin Islands? Or Puerto Rico once things are restored there.
All of these will have a completely foreign feel from what you think of as the US. They're largely their own world's altogether.
