Unity, Tolerance and Peace - that's what the red leaf on our map signifies. Boring, I guess.

Wars = excitement?

Get a grip Sat.: the U.S., in consideration of these stupid shootings happening all over the country to the extent everyone's inured to them now as even agreed to by these folks //www.city-data.com/forum/polit...events-so.html and the added nonsense of state reps being chosen regardless of their accused pedophilia?

The country is under stress and while you might not agree, millions are concerned and worried.

Just entertained two American couples for an evening and both of them have decided to arm themselves due to frequent and alarming threats in the area. One, a Vietnam vet, stated categorically he thought he would never again touch a firearm of any kind and now he's decided to arm both himself and his wife.

That is fugged up!

The US has 10 times the population of Canada and with a very peculiar history.....there is more crime, statistically, than Canada...That is news!!!

In reality violent crime has been in decline in the US for decades...millions concerned and worried?? Not really....again, the US is doing just fine...

Oh really: over 12 million back-ground checks for gun ownership; 67% for self protection so far this year indicates a level of concern over something other than cracks in the sidewalks, wouldn't you agree? ......... What was I thinking;........ of course you wouldn't agree.

2017 is second biggest year for gun sales ever, might top 2016

Yep; those snipers shooting from hotel windows in Vegas incidents have undergone a real decline in the last few decades as have all the school shootings and mass shootings of all types numbering almost one a day...uh, huh; we believe the decline your figures state. We sure do Sat.

Could it be the number of incidents reported of uncle Ted beating aunty Alice have declined, thereby lessening the numbers of incidents, whereas the actual types and results of the violent crimes are far, far, worse in scope.

The U.S. is anything but "fine". Take a stroll through the other forums like the "current events", "P&OC" and, for chits a giggles, the "Health Insurance" section to glean the difference in posting severity. You might learn something.

Fine? I don thin so Lucy!

No country who has elected a barbarian to the top job is doing "just fine."

Can't challenge the facts;

so of course go with dismissive patronzing condescension.....works every time.

Open you eyes and ears. Your country is deeply divided. There are people high in government that have been charged with criminal activities....not just ANY of your usual corruption, but acts that suggest that your very own federal government is possibly beholden to a foreign power. Treasonous perhaps...AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL.

That your current federal government is destroying or in the process of destroying tax breaks, programs and safeguards that people have enjoyed. Class warfare....just wait. You haven't seen anything yet.

Americans...those who are paying attention are angry. These people are not being unreasonable.

I sometimes believe that your understanding of the US as a whole is severely lacking. You see only out your backdoor, and if that seems fine, then everything must be fine.
