Get your birth certificate and any other Canadian id together then just show up at the border saying you are coming home, when asked what you did in the USA for 2 years just say you drifted around did odd jobs .they will not deny you entry into Canada as long as you are in fact a Canadian.
Present yourself to the nearest Canadian consulate and ask for a Canadian Passport to be issued to you.
When the consular gives you the protocols you'll have to fulfill them.
Under certain circumstances (and I had one once) a Passport may be issued even though I.D. is sketchy but there seems to be a lot of other issues going on here. You might have someone who can vouch for who you are??? Pastor? CPA? There's a list of acceptable vouchers, but they took lawyers off the list ten years ago!!!
