I sometimes find food from Canada in the supermarket I shop at most of the time, not just French Fries but frozen desserts, even one made with peaches, that most Southern of fruits.

If you mean "southern Ontario," you would be correct. There are many peach orchards in the Niagara Peninsula, in southern Ontario; but peaches grow elsewhere in Ontario as well.

They grow well in the Okanagan and other BC interior regions as well!

Love Okanagan peaches.

There is even a campground named Peach Orchard.

What makes my head spin, is seeing BC Grown Apples while in Washington State, and Washington State Grown Apples while in BC.

Maybe trade restrictions aren't as strict on produce as it is on meat and dairy products. Wherever growers feel they can make more profit, they will send their produce there.

I bought apples from the U.S.A. in Ontario yesterday, but I have had an apple taken away at Ottawa airport when returning to the U.S.

Visited the Kewlona area recently, and I was surprised at all the fruit orchards and wineries. Seems to be a big local industry. Many of the produce I saw in the grocery stores were US imports (probably due to the season), but I bought some Canadian apples, and they were very good. Crisp. And the local wine was palatable.

We knew we were in Canada when the counter help in the local Costco asked if I wanted gravy with my fries.
