With global warming, Canada is going to become more and more valuable as its resources are going to become easier to extract.

Just read about how Russia conquered Siberia if you want to know the fate of Canada's northern territories. Same with how China conquered Tibet.

Poorly defended and sparsely populated territories are "easy pickins".

The US could stage military in Alaska and simply roll through Yukon Territories, NW Territories with no problems.

No illusions as to that being possible and now that Trump's getting his marching orders from Putin; either scenario is far more probable than it was yesterday. No advisors present just the two of them and translators in the same room chatting like a couple of golf buddies.

Just one President ago that would be considered treasonous behaviour. Now it's the new normal for republicans to allow this to happen right under their freak'n noses.

Trudeau better get his chit together as carbon taxes and pipeline angst are going to be the least of his problems tomorrow.

We are now seeing the real reason for all of Trump's fracturing of traditional alliances. Russia own's his azz.

I really don't think Canada has to worry about a US invasion. We've already sent you the Kardashians (sorry).

Out of all the countries, Canada is most at risk.

Maybe this is why Trudeau is welcoming all the immigrants? Y'all are going to need a lot of people in your armed services.

Canada welcomes immigrants as Canada has always done. No greater nor lessor activity in that regard.

Canada is also sending back those asylum seekers who've failed the requirements test. The only difference between Canada and the U.S. in that regard, is Canada has not been "inviting illegals" for the last 5 decades.

It won't be the armed services of Canada that anyone needs to worry about or that performs any form of heroic Little Big Horn event. It'll be that conundrum of actually occupying a country larger than the U.S. that has a very significant number of it's populace armed and knowledgeable of how to exist in the northern latitudes.

The main driver for immigration in Canada is our aging population. The median age is 42. In contrast, the median age in the U.S. is 38.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List..._by_median_age

That’s reflected in the merit points allocated for age. An applicant gets 12 points if they are between the ages of 18 and 35:

Yeah, but you're stuck with our 'cruise missile' Bieber. The gift that keeps on giving.

The US has a station at the South Pole. I think we know how to deal with cold climates.

You're taking about the military again, aren't you?

I'm not.
