I had EI a few years ago when I got led off, but this one was expired.

Since then I found 2 part time jobs and I have been working there almost 2 years on both jobs. I live currently in Ontario. My girlfriend would like me to move closer so we wouldn't have to spend so much money on traveling every few months and able to see each other more often. So I have decided to move to Winnipeg next September (2008). In order to do that I will need to quit both jobs.

Now will EI be able to help me on the travel expenses + extra money till i find a job there + and help find a place to stay, as you know it is hard to pay rent if you don't have a job already, and it would be hard to find a job if i don't live there already, if you know what I mean.

My other question is when should I reapply to EI and get the best benefits? I work different hours depending on the time of year. the busiest time is from late August to end of December and in February till May. With both jobs I work from close to 40hrs a week on the least busy weeks and up to 60+hrs on the most busy ones. On average I would say I work just over 50 hrs per week. My earning for the 2007 year is still under $25,000, though i had a few raises before the end of that year.

What should I do?
