The only things I know about Winnipeg, not having visited ever, is that the RCM's main mint is there, it has a sizeable Chinese community, and it has an NHL hockey team called the Jets which has been mentioned already. Oh yeah and Lake Winnipeg is just to the north thence the name Winnipeg.
