Lately, Canada has become THE place for people fleeing this type of persecution. Anytime an issue like this arises and a person needs to be taken out of a country real fast, I am always expecting they'll eventually show up here.
Of course if she comes to Quebec she will probably be askes to lose the hijab and any form of religious attire.
She's... Christian.
I know in some pictures she's been shown with her head and face covered, but that's likely only to protect herself as she's from a country where women are often forced to wear that stuff.
And even if she did wear something like that, she'd only have to remove it if (a) the bill gets passed as is and (b) she absolutely wanted to work in a tiny minority of public sector jobs.
(Even so, Quebec with Bill 21 as law still looks a hell of a lot better than Pakistan for someone like her, wouldn't you say? Though I doubt she will end up in Quebec regardless.)

Agreed but why if she moved to Quebec would she need to abide by a bill21.? What is the purpose of bill21 if not to marginalyze minorities, if you go to a government office what diffence does it make if the person serving you is wearing a hijab/turban/kippah or a big cross around their neck?

I really don't think bill 21 bothers most minorities. Most people I know that are minorities do not wear religious symbols.

You're mixing things up in a serious way, but in all honesty, why would she be exempted from our laws?
In any event, as she is apparently illiterate and speaks no French and no English, it's extremely unlikely she will be working in any of the professions covered by Bill 21, any time soon.
im still waiting for your defence of this bill21 as in my opinion its nothing but a racist piece of leguslation meant to appease a xenophobic francophone demographic.
