Thanks for all the good wishes!

There were fireworks last night that Mr. Daynet was able to see...I drank too much beer and missed the display.

Hope everyone had a good Canada Day weekend!

We spent a great weekend at our cottage. We could hear fireworks in the distance, loons calling and frogs croaking as we drifted off to sleep with a light breeze coming through our window.

Great weather, a beautiful lake to enjoy, and so happy to live in the BEST country in the world! Life is good!

I got there after a lot of the crowds had dispersed through out the downtown. What I noticed this year, was how many families where all dressed in Canada Day wear. Young families.

Got my beer

I wish my friends and fellow Canadian C-D-ers a happy Canada Day. And I hope that our friends in the UK celebrate with a lot of Canadian beer in Covent Garden!

Canada House was giving away free Canadian Party Packs, hope that included beer.

The Duke and Dutchess of Sussex also visited Canada House to join in the Celebrations, indeed Meghan lived in Toronto for a number of years.

And today it gently sprinkles warm rains to water the plants and freshen the air. Perfect timing after a sunny, hot Canada Day Weekend. Sounds like everyone had a lovely weekend and festivities. Belated Happy Canada Day wishes to you all.

Nat, thanks for the all the pictures. You have a good eye. It never ceases to impress me how clean and sharp Vancouver looks. And you captured such a diverse and fine looking crowd of happy people that were there, all enjoying the festivities together!

Had a similar experience. Your country is certainly a beautiful place to be.

People on the lake where I am visiting had a parade with about eight boats. You Canadians are a fun bunch. Ended the day with shrimp and steaks on the grill. I'll still be here Thursday for MY national holiday. My kind host has promised burgers and ice cream to make me feel at home.
