You've heard of Swarte Piet, right? Sometimes black children are not slaves and Santa's white faced dwarves and reindeer are slaves. It's a mind fart. Trudeau, the drama man, painted his face several times to portray other cultures during cross-cultural events, a black faced man with a white faced harem. What are women to think? Black men like white women, Aladdin is black, Aladdin is brown, Aladdin is Hindu ... so many questions, painting black-face is a gimmick.
34% of the population say black-face Prime Minister of Canada doesn't matter. 37% say it does. Does that mean that Canada has a strong immigrant population?

- Justin has displayed himself as completely out of tune with the values he claims to stand for, and true Canadian values, that makes him a hypocrite.

If someone else did this Justin would be the very first person to point the finger and shame them, calling them racist and lecturing them like a schoolchild.
But he gets to be treated specially? I can't trust this guy any longer.
Telling minorities, LGBT or women to just "get over it" isn't part of my Canada and should have no place here.
If we followed the "get over it" logic then women would still be owned by men, brown/black Canadians would still be subordinate to whites.
Is that really the Canada you want to create?

I believe Edward was being at least semi-sarcastic.
The whole blackface/brownface thing was admittedly stupid and even offensive, but everything points to Trudeau the PM as being a different man than the guy who did that stuff. This includes racial equality as well as gay and gender rights.
Just out of curiosity, how many people with blackskin and brownskin color their skin light or white? Is it okay for black women to wear whitening concealer but white men cannot wear skin darkener, brown, or black? Trying to change skin color is all about drama, like Trudeau and everyone else who uses make-up to alter skin tone for theatrical and special events.
