Who needs data when you speak the truth?

Don’t you think there is any association between the ideology of free enterprise/capitalism and the very fact that some of "our" industries have moved to other countries?

No...it the rules and restrictions...and the outrageous taxes, that are killing our economy and sending industry elsewhere from Canada.
Don't point at "the ideology of free enterprise/capitalism" as the cause of it.

We have more socialist values, then say the USA, but we aren't a socialist government.

If anything we've added parts that work in socialism into our already capitalist society, that makes it different than other countries, but in no way socialist.

Our government doesn't control our means of production, or distribute it in any way like a socialist government.

If we were socialist, we wouldn't be having so many foreign investors, booming our housing in Vancouver and Toronto greater areas, not to mention Brazillian Corporations buying out our chains, including Tim Hortons.

Socialist countries tend to have much less foreign investment, and usually try to be self reliant. Canada is almost the opposite. We have rich deposits in natural resources, but we are still mining a good amount of it for other countries, and have several resource crises going on.

Don't forget the enormous U.S. Veterans Affairs, Dept of Defense, and Indian Health Service systems, too.

Socialism has lost its meaning in modern contexts. Historically the PCs (conservative, centre-right party) were supportive of both unions and public crown corporations. It’s only since Mulroney and the American style right wing Reform takeover of the Conservative party that these things have been associated with “socialism”. Now tabloids like the Toronto Sun are pushing for privatization of health care in their editorials. Canada has long had a different political compass than the United States, and calling us socialist is just McCarthyist red scare garbage.

It certainly seems that way these days. Canada is a sickeningly socialist country.

Indeed. It's nowadays infiltrated in a more subtle (and dangerous) form - the Cultural Marxism, or "Socialism with ... human face" (Gorbachev's dream come true - in both Canada and U.S.A. :-) )

Dogwhistle politics. I wouldn’t pay too much regard to those who use those kind of terminology. Read up on the term “cultural Bolshevism” from 1930s Germany. It’s just a dog whistle used by neofascists. Marxism has nothing to say about LGBT ideology/critical race theory, etc. in fact, Marx himself had views on these things that would be considered quite regressive by today’s society
