I'm sorry. I never new who he was in real life for sure, but I live in his community. Someone who basically matches his description (right age, daughter living in Vancouver my age, some kidney issues) passed away first week of January. I sent him a goodbye PM and asked him to please respond if I was incorrect. I have received no response. This gentleman passed away surrounded by all of his loved ones.

I suspected that was the case after the health issues he had talked about, but still sad to hear.

I was also requesting any info on his welfare some time ago. We PM'd a few times to and fro regarding some of the threads he was involved in but he never dwelt on his major health issues other than what he revealed publicly in these threads.
