A report commissioned to study the lack of/poor response to the LTC/AL homes outbreak is due to be read out today. Ford's in deep doo-doo as it has become quite apparent he was not only aware of the possible outbreaks to come well in advance but ignored all provided information of same to plow ahead with focusing resources elsewhere. I think his culpability will be very apparent to everyone.
I sense (sincerely hope) his days are numbered.

The sheer economic growth of the Golden Horseshoe Region including the GTA Region might have much to do with it. Money talks. Other than the most community/society focused citizens, everyone else has got to be greedy for something and they voted into office the man who could do just that but they don't want to admit it. During normal times, he'd be riding high and hailed as an economic hero but times are different.
Ontario is in lockdown. The police have the authority to come to your house and forcibly remove your relatives. It is unclear if this is a free service or if it can be booked in advance.

The border should be open to USA visitors who have been fully vaccinated and America should let in fully vaccinated Canadians in as well for non essential reasons. Show your card and Docs and go, there is too much at stake to lose another summer tourist season. Trudeau is just on a ego trip, behaving like a lot of the gloom and doom Democrats down here in America. Nothing is good enough unless its total elimination.

There's too much of what at stake, and for who?
For the whole past year America has already been letting Canadian visitors and tourists into the USA for non-essential reasons whether they're vaccinated or not, just like always. The only change that America made is that Canadian visitors can't drive across the border into USA in their cars. But they've never restricted visitors from entering USA by other means.

It says right on the Canada IRCC site that at this time they are not taking whether you have been vaccinated into consideration, not even under the family exemptions rules. I am guessing it is because the vaccination card would be easy enough to forge.
