Moving to White Rock BC (pros and cons, place to live, beach)

Hi
We are thinking of moving out of Vancouver for various reasons. i.e. high housing costs.
We have looked at White Rock. We do not need to
travel into Vancouver for work.
We have two boys age 7 and 9 who are very sport oriented.
Can you please tell me the pros and cons of such a move.

White Rock would seem equally as expensive as Vancouver as it's somewhat of an exclusive beach community popular among retirees and those who have money. It's not a cheap place to live.
