In one of the French-speaking Zello channels (or maybe it’s Telegram - can’t tell from the screenshot) the administrator is asking for 12 walkie talkies, a few security cameras, and any veterans, retired military personnel, or personnel on forced leave.
I'd like to see that happen to the people who brought their kids with them to use as shields.
Bwahahahaha!! (that's me laughing gleefully with the evil laugh of Lord Farquaad {from the original Shrek movie} as he bites off the legs of the Gingerbread Man.)
Apparently they were doing to to the hospital here. They have also staged a protest at a school and the school went into lockdown. These guys want a coup. Treason.
Twice in the last 2 weeks of this protest, I found myself behind slow traffic, which in each case turned out to be caused by a pickup with a large Canadian flag in the back. Slow, as in 80km in a 100km zone. After a couple of miles, the pickup pulled onto the shoulder and traffic continued. I didn't think much of it (a single pickup), until I read about the trouble at the hospital near Winkler, where convoys of a larger kind were purposefully slowing traffic, preventing both patients and nurses from making it to the hospital in good time. Now I realise this single pickup is meant to be a one man convoy.
And one might remember how grateful truckers were a year ago, when they got priority vaccinations courtesy of the Americans who had vaccines when Canada didn't.
It's worse. Ottawa police say there was a concerted effort today to swamp their 911 system with calls and crash it.
