Apperently something like that happened yesterday at a school in the Elmwood area. Angry parents screaming at the teachers and kids to remove masks. Scaring the poor kids.
I really really reallly hope I don't encounter that at my daughters school. I am not in the mood.
No. I was there in Montreal when it happened and it is NOT the same. The atmosphere in 1970 was tense but people continued to go about their business as usual.

So does the official flag of the province of Quebec. The flags of 7 of Canada's 10 provinces have crosses on it.
Canada's coat of arms has crosses on it.
These are all historical legacies. Not something that someone put there last week.
Trust me, people aren't thinking about Jesus Christ when they are marching down the street with a Quebec flag or any variant of it.

Oh, please. I was talking about the Christian cross clearly visible on it, not the symmetric white cross. Nobody in their right mind would see that flag as anything other than a Christian flag.
