Man-eating sharks (great whites) tend to be in cold and freezing waters. And Atlantic Canada which is rather icy, has lots of them. Or so I've heard.

There are more sharks in warmer waters yes, but those kinds rarely attack people.

So is it true that if you fell into the sea near Halifax Nova Scotia, PEI or St. John's (Newfoundland), apart from freezing to death, you'd be fish food within minutes?

I have lived in Canada for 70 years, and shark attacks are VERY RARE. Do a goggle search for " shark attacks in Canadian waters ".
