I'm finally going to do my Prairie Provinces road trip next summer 2023, starting at the Peace Gardens and heading north as far as I can, then looping down to Banff and wiggling back.
So, in what Spring to Fall months will the Mosquitoes be least bad in northern Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta?
I've been thinking Mid June to Mid August would be worst for mosquitoes, so a trip in early June or late August/early September would be best. Am I right?
And, while I'm at it, any recommended stops in my PP loop? I'm not too interested in any cities, and can camp or stay in small motels or b&bs, and will carry food and a spare gas can.
PS: once I do that trip the only CA provinces I won't have visited will be Yukon, Northwest Territories, Newfoundland/Labrador and Nunavut. (I've already done the US 50.)
