Anyone here listen to CBC Radio? I finally broke down and found a no-hassle site (surfmusic.de) that doesn't block IPs outside Canada.

What a delight. Radio One still sounds like it did in the 70s, except Peter Gzowski and Barbara Frum are gone. Stll articulate, intelligent talk about serious subjects. I rearrange my day, to hear "As It Happens", which I hear from Iqaluit, fitting my time zone. (windchill -40 tonight)

As It Happens has been on for nearly 50 years, still the same title, theme, format -- with over 200,000 interviews with smart, articulate, otherwise ordinary people.

Lots of choices from that website. I shall explore those global stations.
CityNews1130 is the only station we listen to when driving - for local traffic and weather reports.

I mainly listen to CBC 1 when I'm driving or doing housework.

Great local and national shows. As it Happens, never ceases to amaze me. Anything that seems to be newsworthy, they somehow get the main characters to interview, that you don't see or. hear anywhere else.

When visiting family in Sequim/Port Angeles WA I like to listen to Canadian radio in the car, we can get it over the air there. CBC 1 is also available in the free app called Radio Garden, and we can stream to the car stereo. We also watch CBC TV (CBUT) a lot here in the house.
