Hi all!

I bought a new construction home in Brampton, Ontario and have a really big problem.

I drove by the house the other day and noticed a half wall and pilar, but on the floor plan it doesnt' show a half wall only a full decorative pilar. I don't want a half wall and basically it looks liket hey are jipping me on the full pilar and giving em a half pilar.

I went to the sales office and the guy told me to speak to the builder before they start putting the hard wood in. I left the builder a message and an email and still no response.

Is there anything I can do about this if the builder doesn't change it? This isn't what I agreed on.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Sonny

Contact the builder. If you have your specs written into your contract, yu have the option of not not closing the deal if the product isn't what you contracted for.

With construction you pay a few times in the process when certain levels of completion are reached. If you've paid in full already you're screwed. (Or you can seek litigation)

Otherwise simply tell them to rip it out and fix it. Don't pay them no matter what they say until its RIGHT.
