Information needed

Do you know, going into sites and reading of people looking for family members makes me think how hard all this is going to be. I did not expect to find information or indeed my half brother easily but of course had hoped he would be found quickly. I have of course thought about all the pitfalls and upsets and yes, maybe even rejection but would it not be perfect if it was a good outcome. I am very much into blood ties and always have been. I will post here often and hopefully "the word " will spread all over Manitoba *S*

I wish you well, but one thing I would recommend is finding a Canadian-based forum to post on (in addition to this one). I like City-Data very much, and this is nothing against the site, but the reality is that it's a site with a predominantly American audience, an audience with no connection to or familiarity with Canada whatsoever. In particular, I would seek out forums or websites based in Canada or at least in Manitoba, as that would reach the wider audience you're seeking. Most people using this site (including people reading the Canada forum) are people who are seeking info on cities in the USA. The Canada forum is more of a curiosity than anything. If you want to PM me I can offer some initial suggestions.

Additionally, City Data offers a People Search forum for just this type of post. I've let this one run in the Canada forum for a while, but I think the time has come for any further efforts to take place in People Search.
