Hi, I will be coming to Vancouver in April and need a car for 10days or 2weeks. The problem is that I am only 20 and none of the major Rentals appear to rent cars to people under 21 or 25? Do you know any places in Vancouver that do such a rent?
Thanks

Thats strange, I believe I rented from Hertz once in Florida for a week and I was 19...just had to pay an under 21 surcharge each day.

Here's some to start with, they'll rent to anyone over 18 with a CLEAN, valid license and an unsecured credit card for security deposit.

Give ibargain a call:
Rent A Car In Vancouver iBargain Car Rentals - Vancouver Car Rental

Another one to call would be:
Mr. Rent-A-Car Luxury car rental in Vancouver, Richmond Canada

And, just to round out a threesome for you, call Best Price Car Rentals:
Best Price Car Rentals Van - 1349 Hornby Street, Vancouver, BC - 604-733-1221

None of their rates are too bad either. Just remember that the prices quoted/shown are in CDN Dollars, not US - use this link to get the price in USD:

Or, if you prefer, just show up here pleading for info and then disappear back into cyberspace forever.

(I can't believe I actually wasted my time phoning around digging up that info for you.)

Then, if it wasn't you, I wonder who sent me the mouthy e-mail?

OK, I'll take back that dig I made at you since it was obviouisly someone else that sent me the "attitude" note. As for Mr. Rent-A-Car not renting to drivers under 21, just go to the site and click on the "Rent a car" tab. This will bring up the "Make a car rental reservation" page, go to the 2nd box in item #3 (Your Age Group) and put in 18 to 20 from the dropbar. Your rates will be displayed for you.

I spoke with all 3 of these outfits and told them the age of the driver in question. For what it's worth Best Price Car Rentals was by far the most helpful and understanding.

Default Hey you're welcome, Chief

Hope you get your wheels for when you're in town. Lemme know if you need me to go down there and start getting into people's faces (bang heads together, etc...)

Ron
