I was speaking in general "Canadian" terms in that paragraph, but since I quoted you the way I phrased it definitely read like I was specifically speaking to you, so I stand corrected on that one.

Well in "general Canadian terms" then, who in this thread is ragging about the US system? I think you are perhaps bringing sentiments from elsewhere into a thread where it has no place.

Yes Ma'am/Sir, Yes Mrs./Mr. Officer, I'm sorry for polluting your thread with a widely held view amongst Canadians. I will never let it happen again, don't you worry!
Obviously none of the healthcare discussion has any place in this thread, including your reply if you want to get technical. Anything outside of Taxes in Cali vs BC is appropriate.

I think you misunderstood - my point was that your sentiments - e.g. that Canadians are ragging on the US healthcare system - not the discussion on healthcare - were out of place. In other words, you seem to be trying to stir up a tempest in a teapot.

Fair enough, but just the word Healthcare alone stirs up enough emotions with no added assistance from me.
Anyways, no need to carry this on, OP you can have your thread back!
I'm just a simple country boy who get's confused easily, but isn't yet another discussion of the merits of Canadian health care just a little removed from the thread topic of "Tax Burden -- California vs British Columbia"?
Let's stick with the original topic, please.
Those who have an urge to beat the health care drum are more than welcome to revive an older thread on the topic.
Thanks
