I hadn't heard about that either. I wonder now what they'll do with all the gold medal winners since they've ALL been getting their pictures taken showing them biting or kissing or holding their medals between their teeth. Too much sexual innuendo with that too? Oh my!

Snort!

It's no big deal.

It's also hypocritical. If the men were doing that, nobody would even peep about it.

I'm kinda shocked that a sailor is shocked by that. I thought this column in the Winnipeg Free Press summed it up: The latest Olympic scandal: being happy when you win - Winnipeg Free Press

LOLOL - as one comment at the bottom the article said "we're lucky it was only cigars they were smoking"

And at least they sat down to drink (notice the champagne in one hand and beer in the other) http://www.nypost.com/rw/nypost/2010...2--300x300.jpg

I am sure this victory was triply sweet to them as well because it was Team USA they beat - and the joy of the victory goes deeper than the usual friendly Canadian-American rivallry - I don't think the Canadian women's hockey team has ever forgiven the USA women's hockey team for putting the Canadian flag on the floor of the dressing room in Salt Lake City in 2002. Hearing about the flag on the floor was instrumental in the Canadian women winning the gold - in fact, coming into the 2002 gold medal game, the Americans were 35–0 on their season, and had beaten the Canadians in their eight previous meetings. The USA team was highly favoured for the gold. Whatever possessed them to do it is unclear to this day, but the flag incident sent the Canadian women into an absolute fury and they thrashed them despite being the underdogs.

So much for "quiet Canadian patriotism" LOL
