Read again, "I Google mapped directions from my good friend's home in Mackenzie Towne (SE Calgary) to Kananaskis, and it was 70 km, and 1 hour and 5 minutes."
It was clearly my frontside talking.
Still talking out of your backside.
Google McKenzie Town link to Station Flats Kananaskis... 57.3 KM and 48 minutes... The entrance to K country is not only the Number 1 highway at highway 40. Which your goofy attempt takes you to.
K Country runs all the way south past Longview Alberta and almost all the way to the Crowsnest Pass.
I used Station Flats as a reference point in K country. The actual K country boundary on the 22X/66 is the K country Info center which is about 5K east of Station Flats.
But hey keep yapping and making a fool of yourself!

I visited Canada and had a great time, they had strolling musicians including one who had a giant guitar and they all had pointy hats with giant wide brims and wore colorful shawls. I'd say that was my favorite Canadian city if you know which one that was.
It depends on where in the Kananaskis you want to go....around canmore its like just over an hour and going up to the Pass will take about 3 hours...really depends
I think Toronto would be my favorite ... but I've never been there so I can't vote on it.
I love all the cities I've been to in Canada, and for me it would be a three-way tie between Quebec City, Vancouver, and Montreal. I went with Montreal because I had such a F A B U L O U S time every time I was the there ... and the food was so good!!!
