Should we have forgotten about the "life thing" when we consented for our son's treatment for leukemia in 1989? He is very much alive.

My MIL has been treated for both breast cancer and melanoma, both years ago. She is 94 and still very much alive.

There are cancers that are pretty close to 100% curable if caught early, for example thyroid and testicular cancers. Should people with those just "forget about the life thing"?

Yes, sometimes treatment is palliative, not curative, but where does the idea come from that "cancer" can never be cured? Some cancers certainly can be.

We keep researching, trying new treatments, rinse and repeat. It is going to take persistence, trials and more persistence to reach the goal.

If cancer were to pay me another visit, I'd fight like hell. Then, I'd fight some more.

I'm sure some cancers are different and respond well to treatment.

Bottom line: It's all about the money.
I am so so sorry to hear this. I love your posts. As for refusing treatment, I think this does depend on what type of cancer and what stage. If it weren't for treatments my husband would not be with us today. He is now cancer free but went though a lot for several months and yes, even with decent insurance and medi care we were stuck with some bills. We have several friends who are living years after being diagnosed. we also know people who have gone through treatments and still have not survived. We have a good friend in church right now: diagnosed with lung cancer about 6 months ago; had treatments, thought he was fine and now is terminal. He is refusing anymore treatments.

The Independent Cancer Research Foundation (ICRF) website lists 400 cancer cures and tells which treatments are best for various types and stages of cancer. They're URL is cancertutor.com/ They have thousands of pages people can copy.

They get their info from doctors & patients around the world about what has worked for them. Some treatments listed are DIY. A doctor in another country may help when something goes wrong, with e-mail & phone call help available 24/7, for a fee. Some routes to a cure may require travel to places in US or another country.

Some of the info is available in books on Amazon, most highly rated and reviews include info their cancer was cured by a method in the book. Search under books for Bill Henderson.

Some treatments are very expensive, but for those who can't afford them, they list dirt-cheap protocols.

This is a unique website as it was not a group of doctors who started it. It was founded by Bill Henderson after he lost his wife to cancer and decided to spend the rest of his life helping cure cancers. He even got his webmaster working fulltime with him.

Cannabis oil has proven very effective treatment/cure with high dose like a gram a day for 90 days. It's still illegal in many places. Works on most cancers, even at stage 4, with over 90% cure if there isn't serious damage to an organ. There's videos on You Tube like Rick Simpson's "Run From The Cure" & numerous studies quoted, plus films from many of the top experts in cannabis research. Best wishes, all!

Henderson died from non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Just saying.

Simpson sells hemp oil, it seems.

It appears to be an alternative medicine site selling unproven methods of treatment for cancer.

The quite famous Hulda Clark, responsible for thousands of deaths of the gullible and desperate with her fake cures died of cancer herself. She became very wealthy selling her cures. People paid thousands of dollars yet when called to come forward not one survivor could be found.

What do you call alternative medicine that works?

Medicine.

If a treatment works, and be shown scientifically to work and shown to be safe it becomes part of a treatment program.
