Ok so story short, my neighbor is getting divorced as quickly as he just showed up one day here at the house.

We've not been here long.
He shows up one day, I am the only one home, with an injury he obtained at work. His arm in a sling.
He has a position of trust in this town yet has been here less than 1 yr
I touched the area and he yelled ouch!
It was a tiny area on his inner arm that felt almost rock hard.
The day he showed up, he mentioned his Dr. told him he likely has cancer.
He seemed very upset so I assumed living so close, he needed someone to talk to.
We talked a bit and I gave him a hug before he left.
He didn't let go for a bit... it seemed sorta sexual but he was upset.
And maybe it was me. No biggie.

Except a week or two later, he drops by to borrow a flashlight
My husband gave him the flashlight and I asked what happened with the biopsy.
Maybe he didn't want to talk about it beyond saying it was delayed.
I urged him to keep calling UC Davis to get that scheduled.
He dropped by our home yesterday saying the biopsy shows cancer and they are going to "cut it out since it's only in the flesh, no tendons"
Returned what he borrowed
Does that sound right? What about radiation & chemo?
Something is off about him.
He cannot have this position of trust in our town if he had a criminal record.
Lives about 2 miles away, not as close anymore
He said they expect him back to work by March.
He's been married 5 times now and he's only 59.
For some reason, this bugs me.

He may not have needed chemo or radiation.

Anyway, does it really matter? How do you know he has a criminal record?

Don't understand why this bugs you. None of the other "information" (reputation, marriages, employment, etc) you mentioned about this person matters in terms of his cancer or his treatment. He could have some sort of skin cancer that hasn't spread outside the original tumor site. As for treatment, surgery IS treatment. Just like chemo or radiation. It may be all he will require to eradicate the cancer he does have.

FWIW, I suspect you are letting your curiosity run away with you. You are being nosy. What he chooses to share and what he chooses NOT to share is up to him. I wouldn't keep speculating about things that don't concern you.
