I have done the exact opposite, I practice a low carb diet. I actually did it for three years with out one cheat!! Yes under 40 grams of carbs for three years with out one cheat. I ate tons of meat and fat. Add saturated fat too. I had my number checked at the end of three years, the doctor fell off the chair. I was never healthier.
Hello. As I spoke about in my intro, both parents passed on from cancer. Between them, 7 cancers. What have you changed in your health and lifestyle sections of your life if this or something like it has happened to you?
Since it's too late to change your gene pool, here's some suggestions for decreasing risk and increasing health
Regular exercise
Regular cancer screenings, at appropriate ages, preferably at a place that does lots of screenings (i.e. an NCI designated cancer center or ACOS hospital)
Maintain healthy weight
Low fat, high fiber diet, with lots of berries, tomatoes, and cruciferous vegetables
Make a will (everyone should have this)
Check to see that my insurance covers costs of clinical trials
Live in a place with low environmental pollution, if at all possible
Avoid cigarettes and all tobacco products. Make sure no second-hand or even third-hand smoke
And you still might get cancer anyway! Life's a crap shoot.
