When it comes down to paying for injuries. My dad already got paid for the car. He saw a chiropractor and the total for the treatment was over $500. Does this mean he will only get paid this much or will he have to negotiate to get paid more?
HenryDavid is correct if your Dad is making the claim on his own policy.
However, if the other driver was at fault, and your Dad is in a fault based state, he can make a claim for the $500 plus an additional amount for pain and suffering.
In what state is he located?
How did the accident happen?
Who was at fault?
How much did it cost to repair the car?
Or was it totaled?
What was the nature of his injuries?
Is he fully recovered?
