Wife with dementia is developing pressure sores. Alternating pressure pad with pump delivered today. The instructions are terrible, even square 1.
So here goes ..... Should the pump be run continuously while the patient is on the pad, or is the pump used merely to inflate the pad, and then shut off when inflated??

When dad had one, yes - it ran all the time to maintain cycle pressure. It was fairly loud unfortunately - but better than the alternative (more sores).
